We really have a problem people! I loved my short trip down south so much that I'm tempted to move there...
My travels to Houston were jam packed with lots of quality time with old friends and new ones. I flew down to Houston for a quick five day trip to attend one of my oldest friend's engagement. So the first three days were dedicated to preparing for the engagement and waiting for the remainder of the bride-to-be's family to fly into town.
The night before the ring ceremony there was hail in H-Town so we stayed indoors and had a mehndi (henna) night. Unfortunately since I was getting henna I couldn't vlog the artist in her element, but obviously I will attach pictures of the final product.
The day of the engagement we were worried that we would get rained on during the couples photoshoot. But instead we were tackled with high-winds!! Houston weather was not kind to us at all...but we all sucked it up and got some fabulous pictures regardless. The ring ceremony was performed with an auspicious ceremony and there lunch shortly after.
The location of the engagement was at the BAPS Houston Temple and was that a sight to see!! Luckily I was able to come back and spend the following day in pure admiration. The stone work and architecture of the temple was extremely unique, left you feeling like you were transported to Ancient India.
The final few days led me to catch up with friends I hadn't seen in years, and just relax. Oh and you know I squeezed in a quick shopping trip, couldn't help myself. I honestly felt like this trip was too short. I definitely will be visiting again to sightsee and travel to the surrounding cities like Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio. I also want to go back to attend The Rodeo...I put it on my bucket list haha.
Anyways!! Pictures tell a thousand words so have a look and check out my vlog below to know what other shenanigans I was up to.
